Bengaluru: According to reports from within the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) state unit many are feeling that the chief minister’s son B Y Vijayendra is unnecessarily interfering in the affairs of the state government.
Some are even unhappy with the functioning manner of B S Yediyurappa too.
An anonymous letter regarding the functioning of the father-son duo had been alleged to have made the rounds of the party’s high command and causing a small upheaval in the state unit.
Former assistant to Yediyurappa, S R Santosh has been blamed for the anonymous letter but he in a statement claimed Yediyurappa to be his mentor and he cannot even think of drafting a letter complaining about his mentor.
On Saturday, March 14 when BJP’s national president J P Nadda visited Bengaluru a few party functionaries allegedly sought his appointment to discuss these issues. However, allegedly J P Nadda didn’t meet them and asked them to come to Delhi for any discussions.
Another lingering issue is the cabinet expansion that was supposed to happen after the State budget. Along with that hectic lobbying for positions of ministers and other leadership positions in many government departments and corporations is also underway.
