Karnataka: 2020-21 school admissions postponed

Bengaluru: The Department of Public Instruction has ordered all schools to postpone their 2020-21 admissions processes in view of the lockdown declared across the state.
Already schools in many districts were ordered to close and examinations were postponed when COVID-19 positive cases in the state increased.
The order also comes in view of the complaints received by the Department against few private schools demanding payment of fees for newly admitted students before March 31.
The order further reads that schools should make sure that no students and parents visit the school for any purpose. Even the entry of teachers and staff too has been prohibited.
