Karnataka: 2,738 new COVID-19 cases, 73 deaths and 839 recoveries on July 13

Bengaluru: A total of 2,738 COVID-19 cases have been detected in the state during the period between the evening of Sunday, July 12 and the evening of Monday, July 13 evening.
1315 cases were reported in Bengaluru Urban district in the same time period. The next highest is Yadagiri (162), Mysuru (151), Dakshina Kannada (131) and Bellary (106) districts.
73 COVID-19 deaths were also reported in the same time period. With this, the total COVID-19 death toll has risen to 757.
A total of 839 COVID-19 cases have recovered and discharged from hospitals in the same time period.
41,581 cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the State so far. Of these 16,248 cases have recovered.
Presently, there are 24,572 active cases in the State.
A weeklong lockdown has already been announced in Bengaluru Urban district as well as a few other districts of the State.
