Karnataka: Air Force Airman commits suicide using his rifle

Belgaum: A Haryana-based Airman, who was working as a guard at the Airmen Training Centre at Sambra in the taluk, shot himself in the head by his rifle on Friday, July 3.
Amir Khan Hasabu, 24, from Haryana, has been working at the Centre for nearly two and a half years. While on duty in the morning, he shot himself in the head and committed suicide.
The first two bullets did not hit him. The third bullet hit him in the head and he fell. He was immediately rushed to hospital but died without responding to the treatment.
The body will be sent to Haryana after post-mortem. Air Force officials are preparing to take the mortal remains on their aeroplane.
Marihala police station chief inspector Vijayakumara Sinnur, who visited the Centre, stated that the exact cause of the suicide is not known.
