Kalaburagi: Normal life remained unaffected in six districts of Kalyana Karnataka region on Thursday as a few pro-Kannada organisations have valled for a statewide ‘bandh’ demanding implementation of Sarojini Mahishi Committee.
Vehicular movement on roads was also normal. Hotel and Bakery Owners’ Association clarified that they will only extend moral support for the bandh but will not take part.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa reacting on the Bundh said that he will hold a meeting with protesters and take a final decision.
The protest organised by the “Karnataka Sanghatanegala Okkoota”, comprising a few factions of “Karnataka Rakshana Vedike”, has been backed by Ola-Uber cab drivers’ association, a few auto unions, farmers’ associations, street vendors association, trade unions and transporters’ associations.
