Karnataka BJP Unit to Hold Chariot Procession to Demand Resignation of Minister Ramanath Rai

Bengaluru: BJP unit in Karnataka will hold chariot procession starting from five cities in the state to urge Dakshina Kannada District Incharge, State minister for forest and environment B Ramanath Rai to resign as cabinet minister immediately. The decision to hold procession came in the wake of failure of the minister to control 2.5 month long recent series of incident of communal violence in Dakshina Kannada district.
The processions lead by BJP yuva morcha in five different chariots at five cities will be supported by 10,000 bike riders. The procession is scheduled to conclude on September 7 Mangaluru after a convention of state BJP leaders including Karnataka state BJP unit president BS Yeddyurappa.
The five separate processions are expected to begin from Bengaluru, Mysuru, Chikkamagaluru, Hubballi – Dharwad and Shivamogga to reach Mangaluru. Meetings, conventions have been arranged as part of the protests at various locations during the procession schedule. The chariots will be decorated with the RSS, BJP workers who lost their lives during their fight against communal forces in Karnataka.
BJP is yet to get permission from police department to hold the procession planned.
