Bengaluru: After the inauguration of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has geared up for the upcoming Lok Sabha battle by initiating a “Gaon Chalo” campaign aimed at reaching every village in the country. The campaign is set to be launched on February 9.
This marks the first organizational effort under the leadership of BKP Karnataka state president BS Vijayendra. National leaders have been given directives to ensure the success of the program.
In line with this, Sunil Kumar, a former minister known for his organizational skills, has been appointed as the coordinator, while Vinay Bidare, who has previously held national-level responsibilities in ABVP, has been assigned as the co-convener.
The campaign aims to establish connections with 7 lakh villages nationwide, including 28 thousand villages in the state. Additionally, 19 thousand city booths are expected to be linked, providing the possibility of appointing 40 thousand representatives. The preliminary meeting for the campaign took place today.
“As part of the national program, the ‘Gaon Chalo’ campaign is set to be launched, aligning with the BJP’s election motto of winning the booth to secure the constituency. The primary objective is to empower every booth, starting from the grassroots level. The party is determined to make the campaign a success with the ultimate goal of winning all 28 constituencies,” said Sunil Kumar.
