Karnataka Budget 2017-18: KSRTC to get Additional 3250 Buses; Bengaluru to have 150 Electric Buses

Bengaluru: Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) will get 3250 new buses whereas Bengaluru local transport will obtain 150 electric buses, according to the budget presented by Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for the year 2017-18 on Wednesday.
Karnataka Animal Husbandry Department gets Rs 2245 crore followed by Rs 2099 crore for small irrigation projects, Rs 1732 crore for Forest and Environment Conservation, Rs 3154 crore for Backward Classes welfare Department. Also, Rs 285 crore fund has been reserved for the sports and youth ministry, Rs 299 crore for Information Technology, Bio Technology and Rs 731 crore for Law/Justice Rs 731.
In an attempt to support fisheries department further, the government has decided to allocate Rs 337 core for it. Meanwhile, Rs 4401 cores are expected to be released for higher education department followed by Rs 2004 core for medical education, Rs 6363 for social welfare and Rs 4708 for housing.
