Karnataka chief secretary directed not to take important decisions

Bengaluru: In the wake of the political turmoil in the state following the resignation of 16 MLAs of the ruling coalition government, Governor Vajubhai Vala has instructed T M Vijaybhaskar, chief secretary of the state not to take any important decisions.
It is learnt that Vijayanagar MLA Anand Singh, in a letter dated July 10 had urged the Governor to disallow the state government from taking decisions on important issues such as land denotification and sale of 3,667 acres to JSW steel at Ballari.
Meanwhile the chief secretary can continue to take decisions on routine matters without any constraints.
