Karnataka crisis: Cong, JDS calls for legislative party meet

Bengaluru: Water resource minister DK Shivakumar on Sunday said that Congress party has called for the meeting of their party leaders to sort out the issue.
Addressing presspersons after meeting JDS Supremo JDS supremo at his residence Shivakumar said, “I’m confident things will cool down immediately. In the interest of the nation and both parties, we have to run the government smoothly. I’m confident MLAs will come back.”
He further added, “They’ve (JDS) called a meeting of their party leaders.”
As per the sources, JD(S) leaders HD Revanna, D Kupendra Reddy, HK Kumaraswamy, and DC Thammanna have also joined the meeting between Shivakumar and HD Deve Gowda.
Meanwhile, former chief minister Siddaramaiah said, “This clearly shows that BJP is behind all these defections. It is Operation Kamala…Everything is fine. Don’t worry. Govt will survive, there is no threat to the govt.”
Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy to return to India later today, informed sources.
