Karnataka election dates may be out by mid-April

Bengaluru: The State Assembly polls may be held around mid-May, with the election date to be announced around April 15.

The Chief Election Commissioner O P Rawat told on Monday that The SSLC board examinations will end by the month end of March. Other examinations will commence around mid April. The poll dates will be announced around 15th April, he said.

Rawat and the election commissioners will be visiting the state in the first week of April to review arrangements. The term of Karnataka Assembly is likely to end on 28th May.
