Karnataka govt raises honorarium for guest teachers

Bengaluru: The Karnataka government has issued a notification about the revised honorarium for the guest teachers employed under it.
The monthly honorarium has been increased by Rs 2,500 for both guest teachers at government primary schools and high schools, a notification of the education department said.
The primary school guest teachers will draw Rs 10,000 per month form now, as against the earlier Rs 7,500. Whereas high school guest teachers will earn Rs 10,500 for their services.
The low honorarium and dealy in payments were flagged by the guest teachers as some of the challenges they faced in working with “100 percent” dedication.
