Bengaluru: Karnataka government will set up exclusive industrial parks dedicated to women in Mysuru, Dharwad, Harohalli and Kalaburagi.
State Large and Medium Industries Minister Murugesh Nirani said that the initiative will encourage women entrepreneurs and urged them to utilise the facility.
Nirani was speaking after inaugurating a women entrepreneurs’ event titled ‘Together We Grow’ organised by the UBUNTU Consortium of Women Entrepreneurs Associations to mark International Women Entrepreneurship Day in Bengaluru.
“Karnataka is the first state in India to set up such industrial parks. Women should join hands with the government in driving industrial growth by taking up entrepreneurship and providing jobs,” he further said.
He also said that the government is encouraging women entrepreneurs to unlock their potential to generate profit and create jobs through various initiatives.
