Karnataka Govt to track TV content, sets up 24X7 monitoring center

Bengaluru: A 24X7 monitoring center has been set up by the Karnataka government to track the content broadcasted on Television. The state government’s Information department has set up this center to work round the clock. This decision has been taken as per the directions of the Karnataka High Court.
The authorities have informed that the general public can lodge a complaint against any content broadcasted on TV to this centre. The centre will screen and observe the content based on the complaint.
The authorities also said that the committees have been set up in all the districts under the chairmanship of respective Deputy Commissioners to monitor local TV content.
