Bengaluru: Karnataka High Court has guided the Additional Advocate General to clear the remain of the new government on Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in connection to the various questions raised through Public Interest Litigation(PIL).

The Divisional Bench of HC including Chief Justice Dinesh Maheshwari and Justice B M Shyamprasad, on Monday heard a few PILs that have been submitted in the Court scrutinizing the development of the ACB.

Amid the trial, the Chief Justice asked the Advocate General A S Ponnanna, speaking to the legislature if there is any adjustment in the ACB framework now that another government has appeared. In answer Ponnanna said that he lacks a chance to have exchanges with the new government on the issue. “On the off chance that you give some time span, I would talk about the issue with the government and illuminate its stand,” he said.

The Judicial Bench said that the court would give time till June 1, inside which the government should clear its remain on ACB. Something else, trial on petitions will be finished and request will be kept saved. Afterward, the Bench put off the hearing to June 1.

Samaja Parivarthana Samudaya and Bengaluru Bar Associations have submitted PILs that the development of ACB is against the Anti-Corruption Act and the FIRs recorded by the ACB ought to be exchanged to the Lokayukta.
