Bengaluru: A low-pressure system over Lakshadweep has triggered heavy rainfall across Karnataka, including the state capital, Bengaluru.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a forecast for significant rainfall in several parts of the state until October 14.

On Friday, a yellow alert was issued for 14 districts, warning of potential heavy downpours.

Although temperatures have been unseasonably high for October, intermittent showers have already been reported in some areas.

Residents are advised to stay cautious and take necessary precautions as the weather conditions may worsen over the coming days.
