Karnataka Legislature to become Paperless at Rs 60.84 Cr Cost: Budget Announcement

Bengaluru: All transactions of Karnataka state legislature will become paperless soon, according to the Karnataka State Budget announcement for the year 2017-18 made on Wednesday in Bengaluru by chief minister Siddaramaiah. According to the new project, Rs 60.84 crore will be utilised to make the legislature as paperless out of which Rs 20 crore will be utilised in the first phase of the implementation of the project. 

The government will spend Rs 16 crore to organise District Information Fest in every district of Karnataka. The fest is scheduled for 3 days in every district and people can obtain information on various government schemes introduced by ministries and departments of the state government.
