Karnataka: Lockdown extended till Apr 30

Bengaluru: Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa after concluding the 4-hour long video conference with Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the lockdown in the State will continue till April 30.
Additionally, he also stated that in the extended lockdown period fishing will be permitted.
Urging people to continue the social distancing norms, Yediyurappa also stated that the State is doing better in containing the COVID-19 pandemic and there is nothing to worry.
He also talked about the video conference with the Prime Minister stating that he has asked for the sealdown of hotspots and appraised the Prime Minister on the action taken against those who attacked health officials.
Adding that he assured the Central government that all decisions taken by it on tackling the pandemic will be supported by the State government.
