Karnataka Lokayukta PV Shetty stabbed at his chamber

Bengaluru: Karnataka Lokayukta P Vishwanath Shetty was gruesomely stabbed by an assailant at his office chambers on Wednesday afternoon at around 1:45 pm.
The assailant was later identified as Tejas Sharma. According to the police, Sahrma entered the Lokayuktha chambers along with two women.
At lunch hours, Sharma attacked PV Shetty. The Lokayuktha door assistant heard his scream and rushed inside. Sharma tried to attack him as well but the assistant escaped unhurt.
The Lokayuktha staffs inside were alarmed and rushed to rescue PV Shetty. They caught hold of Sharma and handed him over to jurisdictional Vidhana Soudha Police. PV Shetty was immediately rushed to Mallya Hospital. His condition is said to be critical and is in need of few surgeries at the earliest.
According to the police, Tejas Sharma had entered the premises saying that he had to lodge a complaint and even wrote his name as Advocate in the register at the security desk.
The police have filed a case of attempt to murder and are further investigating the issue. The reason for the attack is yet to be ascertained.
