Karnataka: Over Rs 45 crore worth liquor sold on 1st day post-lockdown

Bengaluru: The Excise Department on May 4 stated that more than Rs 45 crore worth of liquor has been sold by liquor shops across the State on the first day of the reopening of these shops.
According to the department, about 3.9 lakh litres of beer and 8.5 lakh litres of Indian made liquor was bought.
As per the revised guidelines for the lockdown extended till May 17, liquor shops can be open from 9 am to 7 pm.
