Bengaluru: Medical Education and COVID-19 minister K Sudhakar said that the government is likely to officially announce self quarantine with enhanced vigilance
K Sudhakar had called a meeting to assess the situation as institutional quarantine is ruled out after tens and thousands of passengers have been entering the state which could also lead to surge in infection.
As per sources, at least 1.9 lakh people stranded in the country had registered for passes on the Sevasindu portal to return to Karnataka last week.
It is learned that once all the trains begin operation, lakhs of people are expected to enter the state and in this situation, the institutional quarantine can be dangerous.
