Karnataka police roped in for poll duty in Tamil Nadu, Kerala

Kalaburagi: Karnataka Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Tuesday said that Police personnel from Karnataka will be requisitioned for duty during the upcoming Tamil Nadu, Kerala Assembly elections

He was speaking after participating in the filing of nomination papers by the BJP candidate in the Basavakalyana Assembly by-election

Bommai said, ” BJP candidates will win in Maski, Belagavi, Basavakalyan by-elections. Also, Mangala Angadi will win by more than one lakh votes in Belagavi. Disgruntlement among leaders is common during elections. Mallikarjuna Khuba is upset over not being given ticket in the Basavakalyana constituency, I will talk to him  soon”

Talking about the law and order situation in the state,  he said, ” Law and order situation in the state is better during BJP rule. It is a well-known fact that there were several cases of murders, extortion, and trafficking during Congress rule”
