Dakshina Kannada district commissioner DV Rajendra on Thursday declared holidays for schools in the district owing to heavy rain.
According to the forecast, there will be heavy rainfall in Dakshina Kannada district and the coastal areas today. Keeping in mind the safety of the students, District Commissioner has announced a holiday for schools on May 19.
