Karnataka rajyotsava celebrations: Mass rendition of Kannada songs at Tannirbavi beach

Mangaluru: As part of the Rajyotsava celebrations, the Dakshina District Administration organised a musical programme in which students from various schools sang Kannada songs at Tannirbavi beach on Thursday, October 28.
MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, DC Rajendra KV, Gram Panchayat CEO Dr Kumar, Mangaluru Mahanagara Palike commissioner Akshay Sridhar and others were present at the event.
The Karnataka government had called upon people to join a musical programme to promote the Kannada language.
This was part of the State-level programme wherein three popular Kannada songs penned by famous poets Raastrakavi Kuvempu, Nisar Ahmad and lyricist Hamsalekha were sung on Thursday at 11 am.
The mega-event involving more than five lakh people saw the participation from Kannada organisations from other countries as well.
