Karnataka records 1,301 new COVID-19 cases, 1614 recoveries

Bengaluru: The Karnataka Health and Family Welfare Department on August 27 evening stated that 1,301 new cases of COVID-19 have been detected in the State in the last 24 hours and 17 people have died of the viral infection.
1,614 infected people have recovered and have been discharged from hospitals from across the State.
The total number of recoveries in the State has now reached 28,88,520.
The total number of active cases in the State is 18,970. The positivity rate is 0.69 per cent and the death rate is 1.30 per cent.
District-wise new caseloads are Bagalkot 1, Bellari 5, Belagavi 19, Bengaluru Rural 13, Bengaluru Urban 386, Bidar 1, Chamarajanagar 5, Chikkaballapur 2, Chikkamagaluru 25, Chitradurga 5, Dakshina Kannada 248, Davanagere 14, Dharwad 6, Gadag 1, Hassan 117, Haveri 4, Kalaburagi 7, Kodagu 78, Kolar 14, Koppal 1, Mandya 26, Mysuru 72, Raichur 0, Ramanagara 3, Shivamogga 62, Tumkur 37, Udupi 106, Uttara Kannada 38, Vijayapura 4, Yadgir 1.
