Karnataka reports 48781 new COVID-19 cases, 592 deaths

Bengaluru: Karnataka recorded 48,781 new cases along with 28,623 recoveries and 592 deaths on Friday.

The new numbers raise the total tally of the State to 18,38,885 cases reported to date out of which 17,804 died.

Presently, 5,36,641 cases are active across the State.

Bengaluru Urban district reported 21,376 cases – the highest in the State.

Other districts with high COVID-19 cases are Tumakuru (3,040), Hassan (2,422), Mysuru (2,246), Kalaburagi (1,722), Dakshina Kannada (1,633) and Mandya (1,110).
