Karnataka start-up begins trials of drones for medical delivery

Bengaluru: City-based drone start-up Throttle Aerospace Systems has started trials on its drone for medical delivery.
CEO of the company Nagendran Kandasamy said that the trials, which were conducted on Monday and Tuesday at Sembhukha Nagar of Gowribidanur taluk in Chikballapur, were successful and they are awaiting approval from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
He said that their drone is India’s first beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) medical drone delivery system.
The drone trials will continue for another month and are monitored by officials from the Airport Authority of India and Ministry of Civil Aviation, Kandasamy added.
