Karnataka State Women’s Commission demands for dress code at beaches

Bengaluru: NG Nagalakshmi Bai chief of Karnataka State Women’s Commission has written a letter to Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy requesting him to strictly implement a dress code for men on Karnataka’s beaches.

Reportedly, few men were allegedly seen strolling naked on the Gokarna beach a few days ago, following it Nagalakshmi Bai has written a letter to Kumaraswamy and asked him to implement a dress code for men on Karnataka’s beaches. 

In her letter, she mentioned that such incidents of male nudity is posing a threat to the safety of women and children and also a security threat. The commission also stated that it does not have a problem with men enjoying oneself on the beach as long as they are wearing proper beach attire.
