Karnataka to provide Cattle Ambulance Service for farmers soon: Chief Minister

Bailhongal: Karnataka state government is planning to provide Cattle Ambulance Service to the framers in the state soon, said Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah delivering his valedictory speech at 37th state level agriculture festival held at Bailhongal on Friday. The state government is providing 5 kg rice to the farmers to restrict their migration from rural to urban areas. The government is also planning to raise the amount of rice distributed from 5 kg, he added.
Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP) organised its 37th state level Krushi Mela (Agriculture Fest) from January 25 to 27, at Bailhongal. The fest had showcased various agriculture tools, equipment used by the farmers, agri products, food and other products made by the self help groups in rural areas, exhibition of cattle including domestic animals and others.
More than 600 stalls were opened and as many as 3 lakh farmers including women were took part in the event. Various cultural events, felicitation programs for achievers in the agriculture field were also been organised in the three day mega event.
