Karnataka to set up 6 more forensic labs : CM Bommai

Hubballi: Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai said that, six more Forensic Science Laboratories (FSL) including Hubli-Dharwad and Mysore, would be set up in the state to speed up the detection and investigation of crime cases.
Cheif minister spoke after Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony of Kasabapete Police Station, Southern raffic Police Station, Alnavara Police Station, District Armed Forces Administration Office and 36 police quarters on Monday, September 27.
“We discussed with Central Home minister Amit Shah about setting-up Forensic Science Laboratories. The crime scene officers will be trained in high-level , without any chance of evidence destruction, a clear understanding of the steps taken by the majors and criminal acts are being sent to the laboratory,” said Bommai.
He further added, “The center would be set up as a training center for mid-level police officers, similar to the National Defense Academy (NDA) training center in Kadak wasla in Pune.”
