Karwar: 20 COVID-19 patients recover

Karwar: A total of 20 people, which included elderly and young patients were discharged from the Karwar Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) on May 24 after recovering completely from COVID-19.
KIMS was treating 53 COVID-19 patients. After the discharge of 20 patients, 33 are pending who will recover soon said Uttara Kannada district Deputy Commissioner Dr Harishkumar.
He added that people should now cooperate in making the Sunday Lockdowns a success.
KIMS’ director Gajanan Nayak, Institute’s physicians and nurses. DHO Ashok Kumar, CEO Mohammed Roshan and SP Shivaprakash Devaraju were present during the discharge of recovered patients.
