Karwar: Five month old baby successfully recovers from Covid-19

A five-month-old baby girl has been discharged for KIIMS hospital after completely recovering from Covid-19.

The baby girl was taken to a hospital in Mangaluru in the third week of April for the treatment of epilepsy and on May 8, the baby and her parents tested positive for Covid-19. It is said that they contracted Covid-19 from their 18-year-old relative.

Although the parents were discharged from KIMS on May 23, since the baby had epilepsy, doctors continued the treatment for 19 days.

Also, a two-year old girl and a 76 year old woman has been discharged from KIIMS.

Deputy Commissioner Dr K Harish has praised the efforts of Dr Vishwanath, Dr Sonia and Dr Praveen who treated the girls and woman for the past 19 days and helping them recover.
