Karwar: A flying squad team seized unaccounted cash to the tune of Rs 93.50 lakh from an autorickshaw plying from Shimoga to Kumta here in the wee hours of Friday.
The incident was reported at 2.30 am from near Chandavara check post in Kumta taluk.
The auto driver and its occupant have been taken into custody. The seized money has been deposited in the sub-treasury at Kumta.
An investigation is underway to find out the source and owner of the seized money.
