Karwar: Navy helicopter rescues 11 stranded on hotel roof due to floods

Karwar: Eleven people who were stranded on top of a hotel due to heavy rains were rescued by a helicopter from the Indian Navy.
The helicopter from the INS Kadamba was contacted by the NDRF team to rescue those stranded at the Highland and Navami hotels.
Additionally, the overflowing Gangavali river washed away the bridge connecting Gullapura and Halavalli here.
It was reported that more than 2,800 families have been stranded due to the bridge being washed away.
