Kasaragod: Catholic priest dies due to electrocution while lowering national flag

Kasaragod: A tragic incident occurred at the Infant Jesus Church in Mulleria, where a priest lost his life due to an electric shock while lowering the national flag.
The deceased, identified as Fr. Kudilil Mathew (30), was electrocuted on August 15 after while lowering the national flag hoisted earlier during the Independence Day celebration.
The incident took place around 6 PM when the young priest was trying to untangle the flag from the iron pole. Unfortunately, the pole made contact with a high-tension wire, resulting in an electric shock.
Another priest, Fr. S. Joseph, also suffered an electric shock during the incident. Both were rushed to a hospital in MAngaluru, but Fr. Mathew could not be saved.
