Kasaragod man dies after falling from train in Tamil Nadu

Kasaragod: A 72-year-old man from Kasaragod died after falling off a train in Tamil Nadu.

The deceased has been identified as Kunhahammad Khadiri, a resident of Mukku.

The incident occurred Wednesday morning at the Katpadi railway station near Vellore. Khadiri who was traveling to a pilgrimage with friends had alighted from the train to have tea at the station. When the train began to depart the station, he ran and attempted to board it but fell and suffered fatal injuries.

His body has been sent to the Vellore hospital for post-mortem examination.
