Kasaragod: Soldier Aswin K V laid to rest in full military honours

Kasaragod: The last rites of Indian army personnel Aswin K V were held with full military honours at his native place in Chervathoor on Monday.
CFN Tech AVN (AEN) Aswin K V was one among the 5 army personnel killed in the advanced light helicopter (ALH) crash near Migging, around 25 km south of Tuting in Arunachal Pradesh on Friday, October 21.
Military officials brought the mortal remains by flight to Kannur and later to Chervathoor. Capt Yuvaraj along with 5 personnel of AEN Corps of Indian Army, to which late Aswin K V was attached, accompanied the mortal remains. The closed casket was placed at the Kiyakkamuriya library campus for the government representatives and the public to pay their respects.
Thereafter the casket was brought to Aswin’s home. Army officials handed over the uniform and the Indian national flag to Aswin parents after following the military honours and procedures.
