Kasaragod: Special branch ASI found dead; Suicide suspected

Kasaragod: A cop was found dead at his residence in Vellarikundu here on the morning of June 29.
Abdul Aziz (48), an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of the special branch, was found hanging, reports said.
Though the exact cause of the death is unclear, it is suspected to be a case of suicide. However, family members have claimed the death was mysterious and urged for a thorough investigation into the matter, reports added.
Police visited the spot and began a forensic investigation into the matter.
Meanwhile, the mortal remains have been sent to the Kasargod government hospital for an autopsy.
