Kasaragod: A woman panchayat member of Mogral Puttur Panchayat was allegedly found dead on the roadside on Monday, January 8.
The deceased, identified as Pushpa (45), was a member of the third ward of Mogral Puttur panchayat. She had reportedly gone to visit her relatives.
A local discovered her lying beside the road near Kotagudde quarters in Mogral Puttur on Monday afternoon. She was rushed to the Kasaragod Hospital but was declared brought dead.
The cause and circumstances surrounding her death remain under investigation.
Meanwhile, the body has been shifted to the mortuary at Kasaragod General Hospital.
