Kasargod: Cops rearrest drug smuggler who fled from Covid observation centre

Kasargod: Acting on credible information, police re-arrested a 36-year-old man who fled from a Covid-19 observation center at Kanhangad here.
The accused identified as Naushad Sheik had been arrested on March 27 for smuggling narcotic drugs. He had been admitted to the Covid-19 observation center at Kanhangad after he tested Covid-19 positive.
Naushad managed to flee from the center after four days and has been on the run since then.
On Thursday, police arrested the accused while he was visiting his friend in Tallangeri. It is said that Naushad attempted to flee from the spot, upon seeing the police but failed to do so.
