Kasargod: One more arrested in Rajdhani jewellery robbery case

Kasargod: A 32-year-old resident of Karkala has been arrested in connection with the Rajdhani Jewellery dacoity case of Hosangady at Manjeshwar.

A team led by Kasargod DySP Balakrishnan Nair and Manjeshwar station inspector Santhosh Kumar arrested Mohammed Riyaz from Kudremukh. Earlier the police had arrested Sathyesh K P alias Kiran (35), a Thrissur resident in connection with the incident.

On July 26 morning, a gang of seven people had looted silver ornaments weighing 15 kg and Rs 4.5 lac in cash after assaulting the duty security guard. They had fled the scene in a car that was found abandoned in Ullal police station limits. The police had found silver ornaments weighing 7 kg and Rs two lac in the abandoned car.

A search is ongoing for others involved in the crime.
