Kasargod-origin youth’s mortal remains to reach hometown today

Kasargod: More than a month after the untimely death of a 29-year-old youth in Oman on December 24, his mortal remains is expected to reach his hometown today (Tuesday), February 12.

The deceased identified as  Naveenchandra Alva, a native of Mannippady Banabettu in Miyapadavu here was employed as a lift mechanic in Oman.

On December 24, Alva was on duty when the lift cabin slid down suddenly crushing him to death. A high-level probe had been ordered into the incident.

Following the decision to release Alva’s body to his family, his mortal remains would be flown into Mangaluru by a flight from where it would be taken to his home for the last rites.
