Kasargod/Sullia: A newborn girl, estimated to be about a day old, was found abandoned in the premises of S.V.A.U.P. School at Panjikallu, near the Kerala-Karnataka border.
According to local sources, the Adoor police rushed to the scene, rescued the infant from the school premises, and brought her to the station. She was then admitted to the Government General Hospital in Kasargod, where her health is reported to be stable.
The Adoor police have registered a case and are investigating to locate the parents of the infant. They suspect that the baby might have been abandoned on the school premises shortly after birth.
