Kasargod: Youth accused of drug dealing escapes from police custody; 3 cops suspended

Kasargod: A youth, arrested in connection with narcotic drug dealing and assault cases escaped from the custody of the police while he was being escorted to Kasaragod court here on Monday, following which three policemen have been suspended.
DIG Rahul R Nair suspended Assistant sub-inspector Sajeevan, Jasheer and Arun for dereliction of duty.
The accused Ameer Ali who was lodged in Kannur jail diverted the attention of the escorting police and made good his escape at BC Road in Vidyanagar.
Police are on the lookout to trace him.
