Kasargod: A youth from Badoor Chakatejal in Puthige gram panchayat went missing on October 22 and his mother suspects that her son was lured into religious conversion.
Praveen Kumar, son of Ramanna Poojary was working in a petrol bunk at Nellikatte and had left home in a car accompanied by a group of people on October 22 night.
Praveen’s mother Prema alleged that the petrol bunk belonged to people of different faith and that Praveen was lured into religious conversion by offering luxury items like car and other valuables.
Praveen’s room has an air-conditioner and facility to offer namaz was also provided by them. He also had Quran and expensive perfumes in his room, she said.
She has now requested the police officials to find her son and also alleged that those who took Praveen away are also threatening her.
