Kasturba Hospital Manipal clinches Kasturba Hospital Corporate Cricket League (KH-CCL 2024) trophy

Manipal: In an exhilarating three-day event that brought together corporate entities, banks, medical associations, hospitals, and media allies, Kasturba Hospital Manipal recently concluded the Kasturba Hospital Manipal Corporate Cricket League (KH-CCL 2023-24). The tournament, which kicked off on 7th January 2024, witnessed intense competition and camaraderie among participating teams.

The valedictory ceremony, held on the final day, was graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries. Dr K Vidya Kumari, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, and District Magistrate of Udupi Dist., was the chief guest of the program. Joining her were Mr B Jayakumar Shetty Indrali, President of Udupi District Cooperative Union & Director of Karnataka State Cooperative Federation, who served as the Guest of Honours.

Addressing the gathering, Dr K Vidya Kumari commended the spirit of sportsmanship displayed during the tournament. Mr B Jayakumar Shetty Indrali, in his speech, emphasized the role of such events in fostering community engagement and building strong corporate networks.

The prestigious KH-CCL 2024 trophy was claimed by Kasturba Hospital, Manipal emerging as the triumphant winner of the tournament, while AJ, Mangalore secured the runner-up position. The individual accolades were also celebrated during the ceremony, with Mr Avinash Man of the Series receiving the top honor. Additionally, Mr Ganesh Best Batsman was recognized for his outstanding batting performance, and Mr Sharif Best Bowler received accolades for exceptional bowling skills.

Dr Padmaraj Hegde, Dean-KMC, Manipal, Avinash Shetty, Medical Superintendent of Kasturba Hospital, Manipal, along with Sr Sachin Karanth, and other senior officials, graced the event with their presence. The KH-CCL 2024 not only showcased the competitive spirit of the corporate world but also served as a platform for fostering camaraderie and strengthening ties within the community.
