Katapadi: The outbreak of Covid-19 has cast a dark spell on all the festivals and celebrations as it has created a health and economic crisis in the country. Especially Deepawali celebrations were highly subdued across India.

However, this auto-rickshaw driver from Udupi has taken the onus to not only encourage people to celebrate Deeepwali in a unique way but also spread awareness about COVID-19.

Jayakar Kunder, an auto-rickshaw driver from Katapadi decorated his vehicle with flowers and masks to urge people to celebrate festivals in a way that we do not spread Covid-19. Kunder also distributed free masks to the public.
