Kaup: A case has been filed at Kaup Police Station over the theft of a second-hand bus by the previous owner and his father.
The complainant Syed Gaus H.S. from Koratagere Taluk, Tumakuru has accused Sameer and his father Abdul Khader from Kaup of cheating him after selling the bus.
Gaus had contacted Sameer through a number found on OLX, where Sameer claimed to have an old bus for sale. A few days later Gaus alongwith two others had gone to inspect the 2017 model bus and agreed to purchase it for Rs 9.50 lakh. He also paid Rs 2 lakh in advance. He later paid the remaining amount through PhonePe and cash, totaling Rs 9 lakh.
However, Sameer and his father allegedly stole the bus and did not return it, prompting Gaus to file a complaint. The police have registered the case and initiated an investigation.
