Kaup: Ex-serviceman Abdur Razzaq Shaban dies at 85

Kaup: Ex-serviceman Haji Abdur Razzaq Shaban (85), resident of Muloor passed away on Wednesday, October 12 due to age-related ailments.
He is survived by his wife and children.
Abdur Razzaq joined the Indian Air Force (IAF) at the age of 18.
He then completed his Diploma in Communication Engineering at Air Force Technical College in Bengaluru and served as Communication Officer in IAF.
He was posted in Delhi, Agra, Lucknow, Chandigarh, and several other places. He was involved in challenging operations at Ladakh.
Abdur Razzaq partook in the Indo-China War of 1962, the Indo-Pakistan War of 1965, and 1971. He won several medals and accolades for it. In the year 1975, he took voluntary retirement and engaged himself in religious activities.
He was once appointed as president of Muloor madrassa and thrice as president of Muloor mosque.
Abdur Razzaq worked as a representative for Alqamar Welfare Association in Saudi Arabia’s Al Khobar and Dubai.
He served as the trustee of Muloor Jumma Masjid for several years and worked actively for several other religious, social, and educational institutions.
