Kaup: Unidentified bike rider snatches purse containing cash from salesman

Kaup: An unidentified individual on a motorcycle fled after snatching a purse containing lakhs of rupees in cash from a grocery salesman.

The victim, identified as Umesh from Udupi a line salesman, was on his way back to Nittur after collecting payments from various shops along his route.

The theft occurred around 8:45 PM on Saturday near the Kaup Hosa Marigudi underpass. Umesh had just completed a transaction with a general store owner in Kapu, when the motorbike-borne perpetrator snatched his bag containing a substantial amount of money and fled the scene.

A case has been filed at the Kaup police station based on Umesh’s complaint.
